Referendum 2016
Thank you votes for a successful referendum

Dear Sheboygan Area Voters,

Thank you! Sheboygan continues it's strong tradition of support of our schools and our students by passing our $29 million referendum.

Because of this support, all district schools, to varying capacities, will be impacted by these updates, renovations, and additions. Thank you all for your efforts to make this a reality.

We will begin work right away, and expect that construction could start as soon as April on the classrooms and other additions. Our students and staff will be utilizing new learning spaces by the start of next school year.

Dr. Joseph Sheehan, Superintendent of Schools

Marcia Reinthaler, Board of Education President

The $29 million referendum will fund:

  • additions and renovations of learning spaces
  • safety and security upgrades at all schools
  • building system and infrastructure improvements

The estimated annual tax impact is $4.00 per $100,000 of home value.

The school district has lived up to it's promise to not bring a referendum forward for at least 10 years after the successful 2004 referendum.
