Cleveland Students' Commercial Airing on Time Warner Cable

A team of fifth graders from Cleveland Elementary School was selected as one of 20 finalists, out of 600 entries, in the Time Warner Cable Hang Tough Video Contest.

The students at Cleveland worked in groups to come up with a script for a skit to enter the contest, which was looking for a 30-second public service announcement (PSA) with the theme being, "Hang Tough Against Drugs and Violence".

This is the second year that a finalist was chosen from Cleveland School.

Members of the qualifying team are Brian B., Adrian C., Brianna G., Nicholas G., and Autumn P.

To create the PSA, a film crew visited the school on April 2 and the students all had the opportunity to film the skit for their commercial. The commercial is currently airing on Time Warner Cable On Demand (Channel 1111).

The PSA that is viewed most often will win a prize, awarded at the April 30 banquet to be held at MATC (Milwaukee Area Technical College). At the awards program the winning group will be announced and awarded prizes.
