Over 92% of the students at Cleveland Elementary and NEW Montessori Schools walked or biked to school along with their families and met staff members at various spots in the Village to walk to school together
Police Chief Barber patrolled to oversee the traffic and also set up the speed board to monitor driver's speeds around the school area.
To add to the excitement of the day's walks, staff and students cheered on other students as they arrived.
Upon arrival the students were treated to a breakfast of apples and apple cider, donated by Whispering Orchards; bagels and muffins donated by Cleveland and NEW Montessori parents.
