Cooper Students Raise $1072 for Haiti
Cooper Elementary School students recently participated in a penny-war in order to raise money for the Red Cross. This money is intended to help with relief efforts in Haiti while they are still dealing with the aftermath of the catastrophic earthquake in early January. The Cooper Elementary School's Above the Influence group developed the idea and decorated buckets for each classroom. Each class was challenged with winning a prize and each classroom rose to the challenge in raising significant amounts. The total amount raised by the students was $1,072.
