Math Tastes Good at Cooper
Math lessons can be both educational and sweet when jellybeans are used to teach sequencing, median, mode, and probability. Cooper third grade teachers Margaret Heyn, Ann Wusterbarth, and Eric Waara grabbed the opportunity to add some math to their students' Easter fun by using jellybeans for sorting, estimation, charting, graphing, and counting activities. As they worked to predict, graph, and discuss their findings, Cooper's third graders found out jelly beans aren't just for Easter.
