Cooper Student Council Holds First Event of the Year

On Friday, October 8th, Cooper Elementary School's Student Council held its first event of the school year and sold caramel apples and kool-aid to over 150 students.

Cooper Student Council activities are planned for each month. Proceeds from sales will be used to improve students' learning activities at Cooper School. Last year's proceeds sponsored Red Ribbon Week, Hmong New Year Celebration, medals for fourth and fifth grade Basketball Tournament, and various other events.

Cooper School's Student Council Members consist of elected fourth and fifth grade students who serve as role models to other students and possess leadership skills. They display positive character and involve themselves in activities such as the Salvation Army bell ringing and other community service events. Student Council members help make Cooper School a safe place where students learn, share and have fun!
