Cooper Elementary School Students Enjoy Bedtime Books Event
Cooper Elementary School staff hosted their 14th annual Bedtime Books event - an evening of fun and family literacy.

Kindergarten through third grade students, parents, and grandparents enjoyed milk and cookies while Cooper School Principal, Larry Brahan, welcomed guests and introduced the evening’s guest speaker Don Pilon, a retired and beloved Sheboygan Area School District Staff Member.  Mr. Pilon read two special stories to the guests before they rotated among classrooms to listen to additional bedtime stories read by Cooper staff members.  The pajama-clad students carried pillows, blankets and stuffed animals as they celebrated literacy.

Fourth and fifth grade students also enjoyed a specially designed night of literacy. Students strapped on their tennis shoes as they rotated to four different stations for a variety of literacy games and activities created by Lakeland College students under the direction and with assistance from Kevin Herber, Cooper School’s Physical Education teacher.  The fourth and fifth graders concluded their night of literacy by enjoying cookies and milk before heading home for the evening.
