English Language Learner (ELL) Program
Licensed ELL teachers provide classroom instruction and additional learning support for students who are non-native English speakers to ensure they acquire English proficiency.

PACE Gifted and Talented Program
Cooper provides a variety of enrichment activities for students who have been identified as gifted and talented. Activities are designed to challenge students and develop their skills in their area of giftedness. PACE is one way our school meets the varying needs of our students.

Special Education Services

Band
Beginning band is open to all 5th grade students. We offer instruction on flute, oboe, clarinet, alto sax, trumpet, French horn, trombone, baritone and combined percussion. Students receive one twenty minute lesson and one thirty minute full rehearsal per week.

Orchestra
The strings program is open to 5th grade students. Students who participate in the strings program attend a weekly, small group lesson that is scheduled before school or during the school day. Instruments available for study are the violin, viola, cello, and string bass.

Student Council
The Cooper Student Council is open to all 4th and 5th grade students. The Council helps students develop leadership skills through a variety of school and community projects.
