Recently the Farnsworth Student Council held a "pocket change" challenge to raise money for a local family that had lost their home recently in a fire. The students at Farnsworth raised $850
The pocket change challenge was a two-week competition amongst academic teams to see who could raise the most money for the family in need. Sixth grade Team A was the winner! The family will receive the $850 check no later than mid-October.
Mr. Adam Binder and Mr. Chad Kulow, Student Council advisors, shared the following thoughts, "Pocket change week, as a fundraiser, gave our students and staff the opportunity to donate spare change to benefit a local family facing a difficult situation. Our students demonstrated how caring and supportive of the community they can be. We are truly proud of the student council members who organized the event as well as all the students who contributed to this great cause.
