Above the Influence Three Horace Mann Families The Above the Influence group at Horace Mann Middle school had a sweet idea!  Fill four containers with yummy candy, have the students pay $.25 per guess for how much candy is in each container and use that money to provide three students and their families a complete Thanksgiving Day meal.  Turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, stuffing, green beans, pie and a few extras.  Students bought a guess or two during their lunch hour on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 and winners were announced and received their jar of candy on Wednesday, November 23, 2011.

Sixth Graders Held a Food Drive for the Salvation Army food bank.  Over 1,000 canned/packaged items were collected.

6-2 Students Longfellow Family Who Lost Their Home to a Fire. Students donated money to team teachers’ buckets, and the teacher who raised the most money got to choose the Halloween costumes for the rest of the team teachers.
