We encourage all members of the Horace Mann community to use the many resources we have available. Our collection includes over 14,000 print resources, 40 magazine subscriptions, 300 computer programs, and 750 different audiovisual materials.

We advise students to have no more than five items checked out at a time. Books are loaned out for a period of three weeks while magazines, games and CDs are one week. We do not charge fines for any late materials but invite a timely return of all items. Students are responsible for the replacement cost of anything lost or damaged.

Due to the fact that many people use the media center for a variety of reasons, we have a few guidelines that we ask everyone to follow.

1. Respect others and their property.
2. Use a low volume when speaking.
3. Do not bring food, beverages, candy and gum into the media center.
4. Keep backpacks and jackets in your locker.
5. All students using the media center without a teacher must sign in.
