Leprechaun Visits Jackson Classroom

On the eve of St. Patrick's Day, Mr. Leprechaun made a visit to Nadine Neuhaus's first grade classroom at Jackson Elementary School. To prepare for the anticipated visit the students had set a trap using a blue recycling bin, a pointer and string. A trail of pennies led up to the trap in hopes of catching the elusive leprechaun.

When the students arrived at school on St. Patrick's Day, they saw that the pennies were gone and the trap had been sprung. All the students gathered around in curiosity to see what was beneath the bin. When Neuhaus lifted the trap, the students found a green shoe and note that was left behind. Along with the note, one gold chocolate nugget was left for each student for "trying to catch" him. The students concluded that the leprechaun was too fast and was able to escape their trap.
