Jackson Elementary School hosts a story hour pre-school children and their parents three times a year. The story hours, which are organized by parent Leah Wendlandt, are scheduled during the months of November, February and April.
Retired Jackson School kindergarten teacher Pat Grams (shown in the attached photo) reads to the children. The theme for April's story hour was "Up, Up and Away." After Grams read to children in the Magic Tree House Reading Center pit, the students had fun playing with a parachute. The hour ended with the children having the opportunity to make their own parachutes out of coffee filters.
