SASD Schools Recipient of Community Service Projects

On Sunday, September 19, a team of nearly 150 volunteers from the Southside Alliance Church performed a variety of service projects around the community. The Sheboygan Area School District (SASD) was one recipient of the many volunteer service hours, with approximately 50 volunteers working at thirteen schools to mulch, weed and clean up landscaping and green space.

Dave Albright, Coordinator of Facilities Services for the Sheboygan Area School District said, "The Sheboygan Area School District appreciates the donation of over 250 hours of labor in one day to help improve the grounds at our schools. I was thrilled to hear that they would undertake such a large project."

The volunteers worked on the grounds at Jackson Elementary School, South High School, the Early Learning Center, Wilson Elementary School, Longfellow Elementary School, James Madison Elementary School, Grant School Campus, Washington School for Comprehensive Literacy, Urban Middle School, Pigeon River Elementary School, North High School, Lincoln-Erdman Elementary School and Cooper Elementary School.
