Jackson and A2 Students Make a Monster with Author Tom Lichtenheld
Author and illustrator, Tom Lichtenheld visited Jackson Elementary and A2 Charter School in October as part of the Children's Book Festival in Sheboygan.  His presentation "will inspire students to write and draw stories about their own life and the ordinary things that happen to them," said first grade teacher, Karen Karste.  Lichtenheld was very friendly and interacted with all the students.

Following the presentation, he autographed books that were available by pre-sale to students at Jackson..  He made each student feel special as he conversed with them while signing their book.

The most popular books among the students were "Why Are You So Grumpy?" followed by "Shark vs. Train" and "Everything I Know About Monsters".

Author Tom Lichtenheld creates a monster based on students' suggestions.
