Students Enjoy Jefferson's After School Program

Jefferson Elementary School currently has 85 student enrolled in its After School Program, which is funded through a 21st Century grant.

The goal of the grant is to provide enriching educational activities to the students during the After School Program. Interesting ventures include participating in YMCA activities on Fridays and students working with artist Peter Lensink to complete a school mural by the music classrooms. The mural will display pictures of seasonal changes.

The students will also be involved with the science program Elementastic. Elementastic provides science education by enticing student's natural curiosity with hands-on experiments providing long-lasting insights and understanding of basic and not-so-basic scientific phenomena of the world around them.
