$500 Grant Awarded to Jefferson Elementary

Jefferson Elementary School has been selected to receive a $500 Library Grant by the Kohler Target Store.

The grant, which allows the school to purchase books, will be presented on May 4. In addition to the grant, they will provide the school with a volunteer event, such as helping the store library with upkeep, (organizing books, upkeep, labeling, maintenance, etc.) or reading to students.

Target's School Library Makeovers program launched nationally during National Volunteer Week, April 19-25, 2009, and is a great opportunity for Target team members to get involved with local schools in their communities. This year each store invited to give a school a $500 book credit as well as execute one or several volunteer projects. First Book will supply books to schools awarded the $500 book credit via their online ordering and registration system.
