SPECIAL BULLETIN

The following vacancy exists in the Sheboygan Area School District. All interested persons shall make written application to the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources by 4:00 p.m. on June 11, 2014. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Food service experience or training.
3. General computer knowledge.
4. Ability to work as a team member.
5. Demonstration of being reliable and dependable based on attendance.
6. Ability to replenish supplies as needed.
7. Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
8. Knowledge of operating convection oven.

EMPLOYMENT TERMS:
This position will involve 4.5 hours per day 7:30 to 9:00 a.m. and 10:15 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. (times subject to change). The position will be for approximately 180 days per year during the school year. The starting rate for this position is $10.50 per hour. There are prorated benefits. This position will begin late August.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Shall know the meal pattern, thereby able to answer all related questions when presented. Shall report on duty at the time designated by the School Nutrition Coordinator; no deviation can be made without approval of above. Shall check all food when it arrives to make sure that there is no shortage; and shall call Central Kitchen immediately if shortage; shall clean up all spills which might occur in delivery. Shall use good judgment in heating breakfast and/or lunch; bring hot food to temperature as indicated Food Safety book to kill bacteria; serve cold foods at proper temp under 40°; shall adjust oven temperature and heating time in accordance to what is being heated; shall heat lunches for contracted schools when so directed. Discard leftovers from the salad bar at the end of the day. Change serving utensils on the salad bar between groups. Shall keep accurate milk delivery and milk usage records and accurate breakfast participation records (where applicable). Shall preorder all food and supplies for week’s menu for breakfast (where applicable) and lunch need sheets. Shall contact the Kitchen Supervisor commenting on the quality and popularity of food served; report on menus that are not popular and suggest changes; shall also report any delivery problems. Shall request supplies and order milk from Central Kitchen as needed. Shall rotate food or condiments in refrigerator and breakfast/lunches in freezer. Shall be required to do daily, end-of-year, and other periodical cleanup pertaining to ovens, refrigerators, freezers, drawers, cupboards, and all other related cleanup work necessary to continue the high standard of sanitation maintained by the Sheboygan Area School Nutrition Department. Shall wash and sanitize counter tops, dishes, utensils, wire baskets, dollies and other work related equipment following instructions in the Food Safety book. Shall wash and sanitize cafeteria tables, and sweep and wipe floors on an as needed basis. Shall report all malfunctioning equipment to the Kitchen Supervisor, District School Nutrition Secretary, or School Nutrition Coordinator immediately. Shall perform any other duties related to work as directed by the School Nutrition Coordinator.
