The following vacancy exists in the Sheboygan Area School District.                                                       SOCIAL STUDIES TEACHER
                           NORTH HIGH SCHOOL

1. Must be Wisconsin DPI certified in History (725) and Broad Field Social Studies (701). Certification in Economics (710) is desired.
2. Must be knowledgeable in and utilize differentiated instruction, 21st century skills, PLC, RtI, PBIS, and common core standards.
3. Willing to work as a member of a team to provide National History Day opportunities within the classroom.
4. Willing to support school-wide Essential Skills Portfolio implementation.

Willing to make decisions in the best interest of students and staff. Ability to adapt, collaborate and flourish in an ever-changing educational environment. Sheboygan North High School is seeking a student-centered and reflective social studies teacher who is committed to providing students with a rigorous and high-quality learning experience. A desire to meet the needs of all students is paramount. Candidates must be willing and able to work well as part of department and building teams. Knowledge of effective literacy strategies and the application of said strategies are also desired. In addition, candidates must be able to demonstrate appropriate use of a wide variety of instructional strategies, and have a working knowledge of the Wisconsin State Social Studies Standards.

We further support our PLC process with Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports (PBIS), Response to Intervention (RtI), and 21st Century Skills.
