SPECIAL BULLETIN

The following vacancy exists in the Sheboygan Area School District. All interested persons shall make written application to the Assistant Superintendent of Human Resources by 4:00 p.m. on June 30, 2014.                                               LONGFELLOW ELEMENTARY SCHOOL

QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Must be Wisconsin DPI certified in elementary education, grades 1-6.
2. Training and experience in designing and implementing integrated instructional opportunities that engage children in their learning, provide for individual needs, promote creativity, and challenge children to excel,
3. Knowledge and/or experience with the Workshop Approach.
4. Experience with or willingness to be trained in Guided Reading and Primary Six Trait Writing.
5. Knowledge of Curriculum Companion and/or willingness to be trained.
6. Training and/or experience in hands-on science.
7. Experience in designing and implementing integrated curriculum.
8. Experience with the uses of computers in instruction.
9. Knowledge of and experience with RtI, interventions, MAP Assessment, scaffolding of learning, Differentiated Instruction, and Large Effect Size Strategies.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to work on grade level teams to meet the academic needs of students through the use of classroom assessment data, building goal developments, creative grade level interventions, sharing resources and ideas. Evidence of successful parent involvement strategies; creative/innovative instructional techniques. Willing to support the school goals and to be a positive school staff member. Prior successful experience working with minorities and at-risk students. Evidence of commitment to own professional growth.
