On Tuesday, October 21, 2008, Lincoln-Erdman Elementary School was awarded a $500 grant from the Exxon Mobil Educational Alliance Program.
This additional funding will help to enrich scientific learning of Lincoln-Erdman students as they take part in the Lincoln-Erdman Environmental and Fitness Trail program (LEEF Trail). The school has been working for two years to develop an environmental study area for four- and five-year-old students that can also be used by the community during non-school hours.
Lori Gregoire, the manager of Petro Center, 3801 Superior Avenue, Sheboygan (pictured here) worked closely with John Pfaff to secure the grant.
"As a Mobile retailer, I am proud to help young people of Sheboygan," said Gregoire. The grant is one of 4,000 made available by Exxon and Mobil stations to schools across the country.
Petro Center of Sheboygan met stringent eligibility criteria before applying for and being awarded this grant including a commitment to provide a superior buying experience for customers.
The Exxon Mobil Educational Alliance Program is designed to provide Exxon and Mobil retailers with an opportunity to invest in the future of their communities through educational grants to neighborhood schools.
