Students at Lincoln-Erdman Elementary School participated in Mix It Up Day on November 11, 2009. Instead of the ordinary, everyday lunchroom routine, Mix It Up Day does exactly that�mixes everything up. It is a day that allows students to move out of their comfort zone, meet new friends, and hang out with different classmates.
Each student, as he/she came to the lunchroom, wore a sticker with a shape and color on it. They then found and sat at the table that matched the shape and color on their sticker. This grouped students randomly by classes and grades, allowing students to meet new people throughout the school. With the help of the teachers, the lunchroom staff, and students Mix It Up Day was a fun event for everyone.
