Longfellow Kindergartners Enjoy Modern Dance Experience at Kohler Art Center
The kindergarten classes at Longfellow Elementary School attended the performance of the Gibney modern dance company at John Michael Kohler Art Center. Contemporary choreographer Gina Gibney and her New York based company performed a one-of-a-kind live animation dance. The students observed and participated in a contemporary style of dance. They were inspired to perform by the original music and superDraw, a visual interaction using light projected onto a screen with the students dancing to follow the light show.
Upon their return to Longfellow, the students took home an invitation for their families to attend the Thursday night performance at JMKAC.
