First graders at Longfellow Elementary School celebrated a successful year of the Kiwanis Club's Bringing Up Grades (B.U.G.) program by  creating a panel for a 4th of July parade float. The first grade classes have been working hard to 'Bring Up Grades' this year by reading books. The Kiwanis Club rewarded the students for reaching their goal every month with a book. The first grade students, along with three fifth grade artists, Asenath, Rosa and Vanessa, created the panel showing students reading some of their favorite book.
