James Madison First Graders Celebrate the Friendship and Kindness of Thanksgiving
The first graders at James Madison School celebrated the spirit of the season by having a Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving Celebration. On November 25, the three first grade classes joined forces and brought in simple foods like Snoopy and Charlie Brown served at their Thanksgiving. As in the movie, the true celebration was friendship and kindness, which is also part of James Madison School's Character Education Program. As a culminating activity the first graders made a friendship quilt.
