James Madison School, students, parents and staff participated in Sheboygan County’s Annual Walk to School Day on October 5, 2011.
Everyone gathered at Veteran’s Park for some playground fun and friendly conversation. Then Principal, Dr. Driscoll briefly spoke to the students, parents and staff about the benefits of walking and biking to school, stressing the use of a Safe Route.
Dr. Driscoll spoke about the health benefits of walking and biking to school using safe routes. And he also mentioned that if you walk or bike to school; it helps our environment by making the air cleaner to breath, because your parents aren’t driving you to school.
After the talk, students, parents and staff walked to James Madison School together and a safe, enjoyable and healthy time was had by all!
