James Madison School Celebrates Dr. Seuss’s Birthday
Mrs. Amy Winkel's kindergarten class at James Madison Elementary School celebrated Dr. Seuss's birthday during Read Across America month by participating in a variety of activities. The students prepared and ate green eggs and ham, graphed how many students enjoyed the tasty treat, completed art projects, read stories and also shared writing activities with their classmates. Guest readers also were invited to share their favorite stories with the students.

Second grade students at James Madison Elementary School participated in Dr. Seuss Math last week. Students created a glyph by reading the directions and coloring in the correct numbered square. The final glyph turned out to be The Cat in the Hat. They also practiced their math fact fluency with a Dr. Seuss color by number page.
