After-School Science Extra Fun at Jefferson
After school studies were never so much fun. Students at Jefferson Elementary School have the advantage of participating in the school's After School Program where they can explore a number of scientific experiments.
"The main academic focus of the after School Program is science," said Jefferson Elementary School Principal Bill Klein. "For the month of October students are focusing on Elementastic, which adds to the science program we offer during the school day."
Pictured here, students are enjoying Elementastic, which combines science education with fun through its programs for students in kindergarten through fifth grades. It is the mission of Elementastic to nourish the curiosity of the students by providing hands-on, fascinating experiments that enrich science lessons. The program encourages parents and teachers to get involved, becoming a valuable part of the child's education.
Jefferson's After School Program currently enrolls 85 students. The Elementastic component is held Wednesdays, 3:10-5 p.m.
