The Math Meet is an important opportunity for students because it gives non-athletic students the opportunity to shine; it introduces them to a college campus; it opens the students' eyes to how to solve challenging math problems; and the competition allows students to work together and support each other as a team, as well as prepare them for the High School Math Meet.
