North Student's Work Featured on Special Olympics Holiday Card
North School student Tyler Howard had the honor of seeing his artwork
appear on the Christmas card for the Wisconsin Special Olympics.
Wisconsin Special Olympics sent the card to about 200 key donors, friends and volunteers.
His Art teacher, Krystal Kraemer, heard about the opportunity from Kathy Gerharz at North High School and submitted his artwork.
bright green tree was one of four prints he made out of cutting and
gluing tag board to a piece of cardboard in the tree design he chose.
He then added different colored printing ink to the image and pressed
it on to black paper to create the prints.
Special Olympics Wisconsin holds more than 75 competitions and five
state tournaments per year, providing year-round training and
competition opportunities through 18 different Olympic-type sports for
nearly 10,000 individuals with cognitive disabilities. For more
