Free Books Distributed to Washington Elementary Students
![]() Just in time for the holidays, every student at Washington School for Comprehensive Literacy selected a free book to keep for their home libraries. Pictured here fifth grade writing group students previewing some of the books. The gifts, distributed on December 22, are part of a PTO (Parent Teacher Organization) assisted function and part of the Scholastic Literacy Partnerships Program. The program offers eligible organizations deep discounts on a wide range of quality children's books with the goal of distributing books to children and/or their families free of charge. The distribution helps the children of Washington build up their at-home libraries. Sheboygan Area School District Press Release
