SASD Joins Twitter To Keep Parents Informed
The Sheboygan Area School District now has a Twitter account be used as another tool to help keep families apprised of school activities. Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that allows its users to send and read other users' updates (otherwise known as tweets), which are text-based posts. Twitter allows families with cell phones to receive text messages when school has been cancelled, will have a delay start, and/or has early release. A Twitter account is free. Parents and guardians
interested in receiving text message updates on their cell phone should
do the following:
The next time Sheboygan Area Schools has an early release, late start, or a cancelled day of school, you'll be one of the first to know. This is another way for the school district to communicate with families, especially those who may not have access to the internet at home or at their workplace but do have a cell phone.
