South Student's Sculpture Recognized
South High School art student Peng Yang won Best of Sculpture with his
"Winning Shot" piece at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh High School
Art Day gallery show.

expressive line drawing and viewers were captured by its strong feeling
Yang created his sculpture in his
Portfolio I class (teacher Linda Badtke) at South as part of an
in-depth study of portraying motion in a variety of art mediums. Yang
is a very strong 3-D artist and his strength is shown with this piece.
was Oskosh's 9th Annual High School Art day and it included 168 pieces
of art work. The day is organized by staff and students of Oshkosh and
includes workshops and tours of the Art Department, the Gallery Show of
High School artwork and an Awards Ceremony.
