Lincoln-Erdman Art Gala Results in Two Art Scholarships

Two of Lincoln-Erdman Elementary School's students were awarded John Michael Kohler Arts Center Art Camp scholarships as a result of the school's annual Art ala Mode event.

During Art ala Mode each student attending Lincoln-Erdman exhibited two pieces of art that were created throughout the school year. The art was displayed in an art gallery format and was available for viewing by family, staff and neighbors of Lincoln-Erdman. Guests were also treated to root beer and orange floats, making it a real ala mode gala.

In conjunction to the gallery, the Art ala Mode committee held its second annual Pie Social. Pies were donated by families and staff and then sold by the slice. Proceeds, in addition to an in-kind donation from the John Michael Kohler Art Center, were used to fund two summer camp art scholarships.

The winners of the scholarships are fourth grader Morgan S. and third grader Noah H.

The students were chosen by the school's art teachers for their commitment to art. The committee would like to thank the John Michael Kohler Art Center for their assistance in creating these scholarships and congratulate the Lincoln-Erdman students on their awards.
