South High Selects Three Students for Badger State
![]() ![]() Badger State Boys The selection was made by the staff based on the criteria of leadership, interest in government and citizenship, character, fitness, participation in extracurricular activities and grades. Resch hopes the "experience will be enlightening and open the door to an even higher level of curiosity and interest in our political system and those around the world." Xiong's hope is that Badger Boy State will "build myself up and to stretch my mind by a new experience." Badger Boys provides a working knowledge of local and state government and an opportunity for an experience as self-governing citizens share experiences that demonstrate the duties, privileges, and responsibilities of a good citizen. The sponsor for the Badger Boys is the American Legion Prescott Bayens Post 83.![]() Badger State Girl The selection was made by South High staff based on the criteria of leadership, interest in government and citizenship, character, fitness, participation in extracurricular activities and grades. In her application, Hoerz stated that she hopes "to gain a better understanding of the American world: government and citizenship included," and that this activity will "aid in my future career of diplomacy or journalism." Badger Girls provides a working knowledge of local and state government and an opportunity for an experience as self-governing citizens sharing experiences that demonstrate the duties, privileges, and responsibilities of a good citizen.
