Horace Mann Students Top Their Teachers
Sixth graders from Horace Mann Middle School recently completed a very successful community service project by raising $3,025 for the American Cancer Society. Students elicited donations and then participated in a Cancer Walk/Run on the school grounds. As a reward for exceeding the fund-raising goal set by the sixth grade teachers, the students who raised the most money were given the opportunity to "top" six teachers/administrators with ice cream toppings during an ice cream party reward.
