South Students Bake Their Way to the Top
Woodlake Market's Harvest Days Pumpkin and Apple Pie Bake-off took place on Saturday, October 17th. With her Double Layer Pumpkin Pie, freshman Carissa Neese took the first place medal in her first contest as a part of the Redwing team. Also in her first appearance with the team, freshman Sami Cook took the third place medal with her Caramel Crumble Apple Pie. Cook almost didn't make the contest that morning after awakening to find that her dog really did eat her homework... So all had to be redone at the last minute! In all, sixteen high school students participated from South and North High schools, four from North and 12 from South.
