"Our students are thrilled to take part in "The Guy Fieri Roadshow" and represent our state's ProStart program on such a prominent stage," said Ed Lump, President and CEO of the Wisconsin Restaurant Association. "They've put in hard work in the classroom and on the job in ProStart, and it's great to be able to reward them with an exciting opportunity like this."
"The Guy Fieri Roadshow," produced by Fieri's company Knuckle Sandwich, will hit 21 cities in 30 days and play in venues that seat 2,000-5,000 fans. At each stop on "The Guy Fieri Roadshow," Fieri teams up with Australian-based flair bartender Hayden "Woody" Wood, a local celebrated chef, and local ProStart students. The students will work with Guy's team to help prep food before the show and be on hand behind the scenes to help during the show itself. The Wisconsin Restaurant Association selected the participating students. Gee Lee from Sheboygan North High School (Instructor: Karen Sullivan) was among the six students selected.
"ProStart students are the best in Wisconsin, and I knew they were my go to help for the event," said Fieri. "I can't wait to give them an incredible backstage experience while I blow the audience's mind!"
