Lincoln-Erdman Food Drive A Huge Success
The Student Council at Lincoln-Erdman Elementary School recently completed its food drive to help families who are less fortunate. The food items (canned food, boxed dinners and mixes) were donated to the local Salvation Army. The school ended up collecting over four barrels worth of food for The Salvation Army.
Erin Holfeltz and Jane Mayer, staff members who coordinated the food drive, shared the following observations. "The donation was very appreciated by the staff at the pantry and it seems like it came at the perfect time. Our students chose to help The Salvation Army for one of their service projects at the beginning of the school year. One of our student's brothers works for The Salvation Army, so it was neat for her to support her brother."
