Horace Mann Students Decorate Cookies for Meals on Wheels

During the month of December, sixty-two members of the Horace Mann "Above the Influence" student group decorated cookies for Meals on Wheels. More than 400 cutout Christmas Cookies were baked and frosted. Some of the students took the cookies to the drop off spot to be sorted. The cookies were delivered during Christmas week to people who receive Meals on Wheels.

One member of the student group stated, "Above the influence is a group of students at who like to do things with other kids who are also above the influence. This means we try to make good choices. We don't bully or gossip or use drugs or alcohol. We try to do nice things for Horace Mann and the community. We meet at least once a month to do activities as a grade level. The third Friday of every month we have a spirit day that the entire school can join us in."
