Madison School Receives $2000 Liar's Club Donation
On a chilly January day, with the memories of a warm Sunday in August, and the 3/4 beat of a polka in his head, Mr. Mark Mand, Liars' Club President, and Mr. Scott Schreiber, Liars' Club member, presented Dr. Matt Driscoll, James Madison Elementary School principal, with a check for $2,000 to purchase items for special needs students at James Madison School. This $2,000 check brought the total donation to $3,500 for the 2009-2010 school year.
For more than 20 years, members of the Liars' Club have held a dance and brat fry at Bumps Tavern, which is located at 12th Street and Swift Avenue on Sheboygan's South-side, to raise money for special-needs programs throughout Sheboygan County.
The Madison students and staff want to sincerely thank the members of the Liars' Club for their generosity and continued support.
