While many people were making their last minute preps for their Super Bowl parties, seven students from Sheboygan South High competed at the recent Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) regional competition in Oconomowoc.
Within the state, there are six FBLA districts with a total of 4,448 competitors. Students can compete in performance events, academic tests, or projects.
Junior Jason Babino will represent South High at the state competition on April 12-13 in Wisconsin Dells. Babino placed 2nd in Technology Concepts. In addition, junior Zak Plautz placed 6th in Economics and is currently the first runner up for the state competition. Junior Colin Bischoff placed 9th in Technology Concepts.
Other South competitors included Seniors Austin Duket and Brandon Schwarz, who competed in Sports Marketing, Sophomore Pheng Xiong, who competed in Introduction to Business, and Sophomore Kaylyn Fischer, who competed in Business Procedures.
