Jackson Student Principal for a Day

Thursday, April 15 wasn't an ordinary school day for Jackson Elementary School fourth grader Caleb H. That day, Caleb started his day out by introducing the all-school assembly that was held later that morning. As "principal for a day", he had other duties such as supervising on the playground, reporting problems via the walkie-talkie, and reading the morning and after school announcements.

When asked about of the day, Caleb indicated that his favorite activity was using the walkie-talkie to communicate with other staff members. He stated that the hardest part of being the Jackson principal was all the paperwork. He also added that a fun part of the day included a Chinese buffet lunch with Lynn Walters, Jackson and A2 principal, and his friend, Joshua.

The title of "principal for the day" was raffled off at the school's brat fry last September. Caleb purchased the winning ticket, and he and Walters decided that April 15 would be the best day for him to be Jackson's principal.
