Frank Juarez, Sheboygan North High School Art teacher, began serving his term as a Board of Director for Arts Wisconsin in September 2010. Arts Wisconsin is the state's arts service, advocacy, and development organization.
Juarez is chair of the Art Department at Sheboygan North High School, but that's just one of the many hats he wears as a committed and involved advocate for the arts and arts education. Juarez is also President-elect of the Wisconsin Art Education Association, Executive Director and Founder of Sheboygan Visual Artists, a board member of the Milwaukee Artist Resource Network (MARN), and a member of the Art Advisory Council for Carroll University, Waukesha. His artwork is displayed through Juarez Contemporary Paintings and can be seen at art galleries throughout southeastern Wisconsin.
Juarez holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Carroll University and a Masters in Educational Leadership from Marian College in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.
"We're very pleased that Frank has joined Arts Wisconsin's board," says Peter Crawford, President of Arts Wisconsin's Board of Directors. "He has a truly creative and entrepreneurial perspective on the people, personalities and politics involved in artistic and community efforts. This perspective enables him to bring to the table a keen understanding and appreciation of the political, economic, educational and civic issues concerning the arts in Wisconsin."
