Cooper Students Participate in Student-led Conferences
Students in Kelly Brotz's second grade class at Cooper Elementary School
recently participated in student-led conferences. The students were
responsible for completing a self-evaluation form, setting reading,
writing and math goals for themselves and then presenting this
information during the conference. The students shared work samples they
had collected in their portfolios and what they will be working on all
quarter to meet their goals. Through their active role in this
evaluation process, these second grade students became more aware of
their strengths and the areas where work is still needed.
