Lake Country Academy Students Visit Maywood
Michelle Wagner's Lake Country Academy pre-kindergarten students recently learned about Wisconsin animals that hibernate and migrate. As an extension of the lesson, the students went on a fieldtrip to The Ellwood May Environmental Park. While at Maywood, the students touched a turkey beard, deer antlers, owl and grouse feathers and learned which animals stay in the winter to hibernate. When they were back at Lake Country Academy, the students learned about real turkeys and the role that turkeys play in our Thanksgiving Day celebrations.
