Cleveland and Montessori Schools Hold Annual Holiday Shoppe
The spirit of holiday giving was alive and well in the Cleveland Elementary School gymnasium. Cleveland and NEW Montessori students came to school that day with dollars clutched in their hands, many of which were hard earned by performing household chores, to purchase holiday gifts for their Moms and Dads, Grandparents and siblings.
The annual Cleveland Holiday Shoppe provides students with the opportunity to choose gifts for loved ones at minimal prices ranging from 50 cents to 5 dollars. Staff and PTA members had been purchasing well-priced items over the course of the year so that students could afford to choose something special. Many students opted for the barbecue and golf accessories for Dad, while jewelry and glassware were popular choices for the Moms of Cleveland. Students and parents could also purchase baked goods from the PTA and hand made items that were for sale by the schools Garden Club members. By the end of the evening gifts were chosen, wrapped and ready for Christmas morning.
