SASD Middle School Students Excel in Math
Each year, Sheboygan Area School District (SASD) middle school students have an opportunity to participate in a statewide mathematics contest called the Wisconsin Mathematics League. Students tried to solve different math problems each month. Team and individual scores are collated for the school year. The following winners were recently announced. Sixth Grade In the individual competition, Urban's Charlotte A. tied for fifth place in the state and took first place in the Sheboygan region. Seventh Grade In the individual competition, Farnsworth's Luke E. and Urban's Andrew S. tied for fourth place in the Sheboygan region. Angela S. from Horace Mann tied for 18th place individually in the state and took first place in the Sheboygan region. Eighth Grade In the individual competition, Urban's Morgan R. took first place as an individual scorer in the state and also took first place in the local region. Amanda C., also from Urban, tied for eighth place in state and took second place in the Sheboygan region. Horace Mann's David Z. tied for 14th place in state and took third place in the local region.
