A2 Students Visit Heritage School
The fourth graders who attend the A2 Charter School learned about life in Sheboygan in 1877 during their recent field trip to Sheboygan's Heritage School. Mrs. Kathy Nelson and Mrs. Fran Fintzen (pictured above with students) served as teachers for the experience that gives children the opportunity to participate in fairly extinct instructional strategies including rote memorization, standing to recite, writing on slates, and practicing penmanship with a pen dipped in an inkwell.
The A2 students enjoyed their morning field trip but happily returned to their 21st century classrooms in the afternoon.
