Lake Country Academy Students are a Dramatic Force
Acting upon a stage is only one of the ways in which Lake Country
Academy (LCA) students have become a dramatic force in the Theater for
Young Audiences (TYA) in the last several years. At least 14 current LCA
students continue to partake as stage and costume directors,
playwrights and lead characters. Three Lake Country Academy students
were among the 15 kids who spent four weeks and hundreds of hours this
summer writing the adaptation for the most recent TYA play “The
Reinvention of Edison Thomas.” On Skype, the students met the author of
the book upon which the play is based and they received writing hints
from a UW-Sheboygan English professor.
